Yeah. Stock wheels are 18's but 18 inch winter tires are 'spensive.

Shit gets real during Michigan winters.

Hey I was wondering if you have the TPMS on your winter wheels. I am about to buy some new from tire rack but I cant justify the 130$ in sensors unless it actually has an affect on the car beyond telling me my tires are low (which i have been just fine checking on my own for the last 10 years)

I did opt for them... in Michigan, the winters last like 5 months so I didn't want to have to stare at some stupid dash lights everyday for 5 months out of the year.

To clarify, I don't really know if it will do anything else but I was pretty sure it would at least show a light on your dash.

yeah from what i understand it basically pops up a big warning on the center screen on the dash. then you click "OK" and a little "!" shows up next to the low fuel gauge.
I am in wisconsin so I have the same kinda winter to deal with. However, I dont really hate the little light enough to spend 130$ to fix it... so I was thinking I would go without them...but I am just not sure if that will cause other problems in the car.. I cant imagine that it would... its just tire pressure, which, as a grown adult I think i can remember to check myself periodically as I have for the last decade.
